Choosing between treatments
Which brow tattoo technique is right for me?
The right technique depends on your skin type, hair density, and the look you want. As a guide:
- Nano brows use an ultra-fine machine needle to draw individual hair-stroke lines. The result is the most realistic, ideal for all skin types, especially combination, oily or mature skins that are suited better for nano brows over microblading, and clients who want to mimic real brow hair.
- Microblading creates similar hair strokes by hand with a small blade. Beautiful results on the right skin, but tends to blur faster on oily or combination skin. We often recommend nano over microblading for that reason.
- Powder brows create a soft, makeup-look effect, pixelated shading rather than individual hairs. Best for those who already wear brow powder or pencil, and for combination or oily skin types.
- Combo brows fuse hair strokes at the front with powder shading through the body and tail, or a full body of nano hair strokes with soft powder in between strokes. The most popular choice for clients who want definition and softness in one treatment, or clients who had brow work done in the past.
- Ombré brows are a graduated version of powder, lighter at the front, deeper at the tail. A gradient, polished look.
Every cosmetic tattoo appointment opens with a complimentary consultation. We map your facial proportions, talk through your skin type and prior work, and recommend the technique that will hold best and look most like you.
Should I get a lash lift or lash extensions?
Different needs, different commitments:
- Lash extensions add length and volume by attaching individual synthetic lashes to your natural ones. The maximum enhancement for lengths and volume. A full set lasts up to four+ weeks, infills can be done every three weeks to keep them full. Multiple styles including classic (one extension per natural lash), hybrid (mix of classic and volume) and volume (fans of multiple fine lashes per natural lash).
- Keratin lash lift TGA based formulation infused with keratin, curls your own natural lashes upward and sets the shape for up to eight+ weeks. Can be either natural or dramatic.
- Korean lash lift a gentler variation using cysteamine based solution, suits all lash types especially fine, downward growth lashes. Result is similar to keratin lash lift either natural or dramatic.
If you wake up wanting your eyes to look immediately done, extensions. If you prefer the look of your own lashes lifted and tinted, a lift.
How long do results last?
By treatment:
- Cosmetic tattoo brows: Up to 36 months or more on average, longer with annual colour boosts. A perfecting session is recommended at six to eight weeks after your first appointment.
- Lip blush: 18 to 36 months+. A perfecting session at six to eight weeks is recommended.
- Eyeliner: 24 to 36 months or more.
- Lash extensions: Full set lasts more than 4 plus weeks, infills every two to three weeks.
- Keratin or Korean lash lift: six to eight or more weeks.
- Brow lamination: six to eight weeks.
- Ultraceuticals facials & peels: results driven facials targeting different skin concerns, immediate results best for skin rejuvenation or monthly maintenance. Peels are usually recommended for a course of four to six treatments two weeks apart for long term transformation, then monthly maintenance.
- Ulfit HIFU: results develop over six to twelve weeks as collagen rebuilds, lasting twelve to eighteen months. A single annual treatment maintains the result for most clients.
